The Work Matters.
So Do You.
The organizations that are doing the most important work keep trying to fix what isn't working by implementing new trainings, initiatives, policies, and programs.
The effort is genuine. But the change rarely lasts.
Not because people aren't trying.
Because these solutions keep addressing what people are doing without ever asking why.
That's where my work begins.

WAYS TO WORK WITH KIM
Every program is available as a keynote, breakout session, or workshop and can be tailored to your specific audience and event.
Equipped to Do the Work. Unprepared to Stay.
In high pressure environments, the tools to do the work and the tools to sustain the role are not the same thing.
This session puts words to what so many people in high pressure roles have felt but couldn't articulate. It helps both individuals and leaders understand why the environment shapes the way people respond and what it looks like to make a conscious choice about how to keep showing up when staying feels impossible.
Decode the Room: Understanding Why People Do What They Do Under Pressure
The automatic assumption when people start pulling back, acting out, or going through the motions is that it is a motivation or attitude problem. This session challenges that.
Participants will leave with a completely different explanation for the behavior they've been misreading and a new question to ask instead of the ones that haven't been working.
Staying Human When Your Job Has Been Training You Not To: How Pressure Changes People and What Helps Them Stay
Most people in high pressure environments are never given a complete picture of why people behave the way they do when they’re under pressure, which means the practical tools for responding differently remain out of reach. This workshop changes that.
Participants will work through situations from their own environments through guided exercises to practice techniques for managing their response in the moment. They will leave with a system they can use immediately and return to as needed when their work feels all consuming.

About Kim
Kim Keane is a consultant, trainer, and speaker with over 15 years of experience in education, including elementary teaching and graduate-level instruction at Wilmington University. Her work sits at the intersection of human behavior and organizational dynamics to make continued performance possible under sustained pressure.
Kim's perspective is different, not because of what she's studied but because she's lived it too. Working inside high-pressure, mission-driven environments has given her a firsthand understanding of what it feels like to be equipped to do the work but completely unprepared to sustain it. That experience is the foundation of everything she teaches.
Kim has delivered keynotes, workshops, and training programs for organizations including the Delaware Office of Animal Welfare, has been a featured guest on multiple podcasts, and has spoken to audiences across education, youth development, and leadership.
She holds an M.Ed. and brings a practitioner's lens to every room she enters.
